Concert & Event Production
When it comes to producing live events, Apaulo Productions offers more than 15 years experience including international music tours, festivals, corporate and government meetings, worship services, private events, radio and TV broadcasts, and more.
Whether your show fits in a U-Haul trailer or a half dozen semi-trucks, Apaulo Productions can handle the job! From small clubs and theatres to major arenas and ampitheatres around the world and every type of gig in between, Paul "Paulie" Westbrook has been there leading the charge on deck. He is a confident but humble leader capable of commanding scores of local stagehands and production crews of all experience levels from church volunteers to hardened IATSE hands. Ask any of the promoters or production managers he has worked with and they will tell you, Paulie runs a tight ship with no drama. His Stage Management credits include tours with Babyface, George Thorogood, Skillet, Third Day, and MercyMe's Roadshow as well as events for Belmont and Mount Vernon Nazarene Universites.
Over the past decade, Paulie has cared for a plethora of guitars, gadgets, and accessories. His work has earned the trust of prominent and discerning artists including John Hiatt, Nils Lofgren, Keith Urban, and Carrie Underwood among others. Paulie's attention to detail - especially his ear for intonation - and his commitment to preventative maintenance are his trademarks. His boy scout-like preparedness and excellent troubleshooting skills have earned him his techie badge a few times over. But he believes it is his quiet, calm, and often humorous demeanor that has kept him working steadily for so long. He can also juggle electric, acoustic, 12-string, bender, and double-neck guitars; ganjos, dobros, mandos, lap steels, pedal steels; violins, violas, cellos, upright basses and bass guitars; harps, organs, keyboards, and drums; tube amps, pedals and rack fx; Bradshaw, GCX, and Tech21 midi switchers; Pods, Fractals, and G-Forces; and Shure, Sennheiser, and Line6 wireless systems. No wonder so many pros tune-up with Apaulo Productions!
If your event requires live sound, whether its a small speaking engagement or a large concert, you need an experienced and attentive ear at the helm of your audio system. Todays audio technology offers stunning results, when implemented correctly. Gone should be the days of shrieking feedback and muffled speech. Assure the quality of your event by hiring an experienced pro. Paul Westbrook has mixed audio on systems large and small, digital and analog, in venues of all shapes and sizes; from college graduations and political meetings to rock clubs, refined art centers, and churches. Trust your audience's ears to Apaulo Productions!
Safety and aesthetic are paramount in showbiz. Whether you are simply hanging softgoods, installing stairs and handrail, building risers or thrusts, or constructing a pre-fab set with moving parts and LED's, it must be done properly and tested for safety and accuracy. It helps to have a defined system and a streamlined workflow. Solid measurements, excellent inventory and labelling of parts, and constant attention to detail are a must. During his years in Nashville, Paul Westbrook built various stages for Belmont University and TN Stage and Studio Supply Co using Bil-Jax, StageRight, and Wenger systems. He assisted in the building of stage, roof, and tower systems for Crew One Productions and he has since worn the carpenter's hat on tour with MercyMe's Roadshow and George Thorogood and the Destroyers. Don't trust the safety of your show to the lowest bidder! Stand back, and let Apaulo Productions swing the hammer for your event!
Lighting & Video Tech
Paul Westbrook's experience with lighting dates back to his days as an independent tech in night clubs throughout the south. While working for Production House of Nashville and TN Stage and Studio Supply Co, he helped build and operate basic par can systems using NSI controllers and relays, with the occasional moving light. He later assisted in the building of large-scale modern concert rigs for Crew One Productions and operated lighting and video projection for corporate meetings at Belmont's Curb Event Center. He also assisted with the installation of projection and lighting systems in high-end restaurants and clubs for ProSonic of Nashville. Paul is currently furthering his knowledge of modern AV systems via InfoComm's CTS training. Should your event require basic skills and knowledge of common visual systems, Apaulo Productions has you covered!
There's nothing quite like the sound of an announcer's voice booming over the giant PA system at a concert or sporting event. With the right inflection and delivery, a good announcer can inspire excitement in the heart of any fan. Paul Westbrook is a man of few words, but give him a microphone and his unique voice might astound you. An experienced audio engineer and vocalist, he knows how to handle a microphone and wind up a crowd. Paulie has been the mystery voice behind many of the show introductions on MercyMe's Roadshow tour for the last few years. A world traveler and impeccable imitator, he has developed many voices in varying accents. From the square-peg gameshow host to the consumate British rocker, Paul Westbrook can bring your event "to Eleven" with his announcing skills.
